About
I am an archaeologist with an expertise in zooarchaeology. My research interests include Epipaleolithic forager adaptations, domestication of animals and the consequent development and evolution of pastoralism, and emergence of state-level complex societies.
My larger research goal is to illuminate the full spectrum of human-animal interaction from hunting to taming to industrial production and large scale animal management systems. I currently work at Karain and Suluin caves, Kortik Tepe, Ugurlu, Kultepe, and Kaman-Kalehoyuk in Turkey.
